Here’s step by step detailed guide on how to manually upgrade the Samsung Galaxy S Plus GT-19001 to the most latest Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread firmware build I9001XXKPU. This ROM is a European build, released in Austria, Germany and Poland. This is now the most stable Gingerbread for Galaxy S Plus among all the rest firmware updates previously.

Odin flashing procedure: Installing stock ROM I9001XXKPU on Samsung Galaxy S Plus I9001
Grab the following files:
Downloader: Odin v4.43
Ops File: AriesVE.ops
Driver: You should have Kies installed on your PC or download the driver. (this driver support almost all Samsung phones).

Stock ROMs: I9001XXKPU from Sammobile.com
There are two stock ROMS available for now, it’s the same build, the only differences is the default CSC file for each region.
For Germany (Debitel): I9001XXKPU_I9001DBTKP1_DBT
For Poland: I9001XXKPU_I9001OXAKP1_XEO

- Back up all important data stored from the device.
- Make sure that the battery is fully charge.
- Use the supplied PC USB cable for SGS Plus.

1. Extract the downloaded file, to get the single tar file. I used the I9001XXKPU_XEO Stock ROM on this guide for it is also applicable for all unbranded version of  Galaxy Plus in Europe. (Just needed to change the default language after flashing.

2. Run Odin Multi Downloader v4.43
3. Load the OPS file, tick on ‘OPS‘ button then load the AriesVE.ops
4. Click on the ‘One Package’ checkbox, then tick on ‘One Package‘ button and then load the
I9001XXKPU_I9001XXKPH_I9001OXAKP1_HOME.tar.md5 or the
I9001XXKPU_I9001DBTKP1_I9001DBTKP1_HOME.tar.md5
Odin will check the MD5 Checksum for a while.

5. Set the Galaxy S Plus in Download Mode: Press and Hold Vol Down + Home + Power button.

6. Connect the phone to PC when it display in Download Mode.  Odin will automatically  the phone if its properly connected.
7. Hit the the “START” button to begin flashing. (Once  the flashing already started, DO NOT TOUCH the phone or Interrupt the process.

8. Wait until it’s successfully completes, it takes around 5 or more minutes (depends the speed of your computer). A word ‘PASS!’ will be shown once it successfully finishes.

9. Reconfigure: 
Check and confirm the newly firmware installed *#1234#
Do full factory reset or wipe data cache. *2767*3855# 
Change to your desired text/language ( after flashing the default language is set in German).
Reset the default APN setting in your region (if having wifi and network problem issues).

The latest firmware build  N7000XXLA4 is hopefully going to be rolled out this few days on all Samsung Galaxy Note users all over Europe Countries. The firmware is still packed in Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread and no signs of Ice Cream Sandwich yet. This is an upgrade from previous build that still mostly runs now in N7000XXKKA. This is the newest build this month, as it was freshly modified as of January 13, 2011.

The firmware N7000XXLA4 is now spotted to be rolled out over Germany (Debitel Network), other regions over Europe will hopefully getting an update too. This is the second time Germany getting the recent updates from previous build N7000XXKL7. United Kingdom got it twice also, the N7000XXLA1 and N7000XXLA3.  In Asia already got the N7000DXLA1 firmware update this month. While other regions in Europe still stuck from November build N7000XXKKA.

Here’s the detailed guide on  how to update and upgrade your Samsung Galaxy 551 I5510 to latest Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread firmware this year 2012. Yes! this device got a new firmware update and it’s still alive!
The newest firmware build is I5510XWKPH newer than previous build I5510XWKPA, I5510POKP8 and I5510XWKPG. This firmware is was spotted on Kies to be officially released in Hungary and Czech Republic.

Note: This firmware is only  compatible and flashable with Europe and Asia version of  Galaxy 551 GT-I5510.  Other versions like Galaxy 551 GT-I5510M and GT-I5510L in North and South America cannot use this ROM for it has a different Baseband Radio build. So don’t ever try attempting to install this other than GT-I5510 instead find any custom ROMs that supports for your devices for there is no Gingerbread firmware updates so far in these areas.

How to install I5510XWKPH stock ROM on Samsung Galaxy 551 GT-I5510 and upgrade it to Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread.

Before you proceed always back-up all important data stored from the device. We are flashing firmware here, so it is better to be prepared better than sorry if something went wrong.
Ensure that the battery is fully charge, I fully recommend fully charge batteries, I already encountered a weak battery that shows 80% power but it suddenly shut downs, for it is already weak.  So, make sure that your battery is completely 100% working. Power failure while flashing will brick your device in no time.
Use a PC/laptop runs in windows OS, make sure that the USB port is working.

Grab these files you’ll need for flashing
Odin 4.42: Mirror1  Mirror2 (this version flash smoothly for it has an enhance mode support)
CALLISTO_v1.0.ops : Mirror1  Mirror2 (This is the default OPS file for Galaxy I5510 that tells Odin you are going to flash the right device.
Driver :  Mirror1   Mirror2 (only needed if you haven’t installed Kies on your PC)

1. Extract the file after download.
2. Run Odin
3. Click on the OPS button then select and load the CALLISTO_v1.0.ops

4. Tick on ‘One Package’ checkbox, then tick on the ‘One Package’ button on the bottom of Odin.
Now find the extracted I5510XWKPH_I5510XEZKP2_I5510XWKP1_HOME.tar.md5 and load it.
Wait a couple of seconds for it will checking out the md5 checksum for possible errors or incorrect.

5. Set the Galaxy 551 into “Download Mode” turn it OFF, then Press and hold the ‘Q key and Power key” simultaneously. You will then  see a downloading screen.
6. Connect the phone to PC, the ID:COM in Odin will turn to yellow if the device is already detected.
see the picture below. If Odin then recognize the phone, hit the “START“  button to begin flashing.
DO NOT  TOUCH or INTERRUPT the phone while the flashing is in progress. Wait until it completely finishes.

8. You will then see a word ‘PASS” once its successfully finishes installing the firmware. The device will then reboot. Then unplug it from PC/laptop.

Do full factory reset, this is useful if you’ll experience bootloops after flashing. Master reset by code *2767*3855# or via recovery mode pressing the “T key and Power key” will get you in recovery mode just scroll down to Wipe Data/Factory reset.

How to change to another CSC settings. This guide is originally created by skilledchaos, you can also visit his blog at http://galaxy551.wordpress.com/ to learn more on how to tweak your Galaxy 551 like rooting installing CWM and other stuff.

1. Flash the file GT-I5510_CSC-xxxxxx.tar.md5 via Odin 4.xx
2. You may want to control the result of your flash by calling *#1234# and looking at line 3
3. Call *#06# to find out your device’s IMEI and note it
4. Call *#272*IMEI# (instead of IMEI type the result of step 3)
5. Select your favourite language / area, e.g.:

CPW => English ~ UK (CPW) => QWERTY (with GBP pressing Alt+F)
DBT => German ~ Germany => QWERTZ (with EUR pressing Alt+F)
ITV => Italian ~ Italy => QWERTY (with GBP pressing Alt+F)
XEF => French ~ France => AZERTY (with EUR pressing Alt+F)
XEO => Polish ~ Poland => QWERTY (with GBP pressing Alt+F)
XEU => Engish ~ UK (Open) => QWERTY (with GBP pressing Alt+F)

NOTE: If you change the CSC settings, your device will be resetted! Therefore backup your personal data! Your microSD card’s content will not be harmed.

6. Don’t forget to control the language settings for Swype
7. You may delete all folders of languages you aren’t interested in from the system partition (go to /system/csc) to free up valuable space
8. You may also delete T9 support for all languages you aren’t interested in from the system partition (go to /system/T9DB) to free up valuable space

I5510XWKPH has just been spotted on Kies with modified date of January 16, 2012. So, far there are two countries are about to receive this official firmware update, Hungary with CSC file I5510VDHKP3 and Czech Republic CSC I5510XEZKP2 both with same new baseband build I5510XWKP1.

I5510XWKPH  Stock ROM Download: Use the ROM and Flash at your own risk, this can be also applicable and can be used in all Europe and Asian version of Samsung Galaxy I5510 for it is cross compatible with each other, except for Latin America version, South America are GT-I5510L and North America Phones are GT-I5510M. Don’t ever use this ROM for it is not compatible with the ‘baseband radio version’. If you’ll attempt to try it, you’ll gonna get any functionality issues like GPS, network connection and etc.

Here’s the procedure on how to manually upgrade the Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 to Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread using the stock ROM S5830XXKPT. This is a Russian official firmware update for Galaxy Ace that has been recently released this March 2012. Some changes is the lock screen features, much more faster than the previous build S5830XXKPP and S5830XWKT7.  Some European languages are included on this  packaged, so anyone who prepares an English (UK and US) and European languages can use this ROM. The default language is set in Russian, but you can change it to your desired local language  after installation.

Samsung Galaxy Ace Odin flashing  S5830XXKPT Android 2.3.6 stock firmware

- Make sure you are running Windows on your PC with USB driver installed or have Kies installed.
A USB cable wire of your device, a good working USB serial port, sometimes the connection issues occurs because of a bad USB port of your PC and the USB cable.
- Make a back up copy of all important files stored on your phone, the file is a none wipe but it is better to have an extra precautions if something went wrong.
- Disable any antivirus and Kies installed, this program might also interrupt Odin while in flashing process.

1.  After you’ve done downloaded the S5830XXKPT stock ROM, just simply extract it using winrar, winzip, 7zip or any rar file extractor program you have. Then you in the folder you can see the file

we don’t need this ‘SS_DL.dll’ on this flashing, but don’t delete it.
 2. Extract and run also the Odin v4.38 on your desktop.
3. On ODIN clickt the OPS button and load the Cooper_v1.0.ops file on it.
4. Hit the One packaged in the checkboxes options (the Auto reboot and protect OPS remain checked,
then at the lower part of Odin click on the One Packaged button then select and load the

5. Set the Samsung Galaxy Ace in Download Mode:
Turn the OFF the phone or remove the battery for a couple of seconds then put it back again. By pressing Volume Down+Power+ Middle buttons simultaneously the phone will then reboot into download mode.

 6. If the device is already in download mode, connect the phone to PC, on ODIN window a COM Port mapping  turn to color yellow and indicates that the device is already ‘added’ -  means connected.
7. Once the connection set up is okay, begin the flashing by hitting the ‘Start’ button.

It only takes around 4 to 5 minutes to complete,  a progress bar on the left side of ODIN will show you the downloading progress. A word “PASS” will display once it finishes.
It’s time to unplug the phone from PC, then do a factory data reset to clean all data caches and have a fresh firmware installed,  you can do this by Recovery Mode button – Home + Power Button, then toggle on using the volume button and select Wipe Data/ Factory Reset or by typing this code *2767*3855#.
To check the newly installed firmware update – by typing *#1234#.
Change the default Russian language to your Region, go to settings and then locate the locale and text icon, then find your native language. You may then also often check out the Samsung Galaxy Ace stock ROM list for future firmware updates.

The Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich is now also launched for Samsung Galaxy S2 users in UK under O2 carrier provider. The latest firmware upgrade just recently release with the build number of I9100XWLP3. This is the second firmware build release over UK right after the previous first released under Three/3 network which is the I9100XXLPQ. Samsung already released the official ICS 4.0.3 upgrade for Bell Canada Samsung Galaxy S II GT-I9100M. The official Android Ice Cream Sandwich firmware update with build number I9100MUGLD3  was released on March 23, 2012. If you experience some trouble while updating on Kies and just says ‘Your device does not support software upgrading via Kies.’, this solution might help you in some other way.

This is a universal issues and might can be also apply on other carriers like Bell.  If you get this message ‘Your device does not support software upgrading via Kies.’ here’s some things you’ll need to try.
- Just reinstall Kies on your PC,  Kies oftentimes also updated to any latest driver, so, uninstall the old one, download and install the latest Kies. 
- Some carrier providers in your area, disabled the update on Kies option , and they only prepare updating via OTA (Over the air). Just wait for the notification message from the carrier providers, or manually check for updates on your phone’s firmware settings.
- Some other issues why Kies ignored you from updating, because of some reasons like your device currently runs with unofficial firmware like custom ROM and was also rooted. So, the only option is you need to return back your device to the official factory stock firmware.

If you still can’t update on Kies or via OTA, this option might help you out upgrading your device to the official ICS 4.0.3 I9100MUGLD3. I just decided to create this guide for some users who are having trouble about this issue.

Odin Flashing instruction to manually upgrade Bell Samsung Galaxy S II GT-I9100M to official ICS 4.0.3 I9100MUGLD3 stock firmware.

Disclaimer: We shall not liable what may cause or happen like bricking your device, you may need to understand that if you follow this guide is at your own risk. You are already warned! proceed with precautions.

Step 1: Grab the original stock firmware I9100MUGLD3

Step 2: Back up all necessary files stored on the phone for it will be all wipe out during this process
- Use PC running on Windows OS or later
- Disable KIES and antivirus software
- Use a good PC to Phone USB cable
- Remove SIM card and SD card (safe for beginners to avoid issues )
- Make sure that the battery is fully charge

Step 3: Install or flash the firmware using ODIN Downloader: 
1. Extract the downloaded firmware file in a new folder (use winrar to unzip).
2. Run ODIN Multi Downloader v1.85
3. Click on the PDA button then select and load:

On checkboxes options: Make sure that the RE-PARTITION is uncheck, only the  AUTO REBOOT and F.RESET TIME got checked.  

4. Reboot  the Samsung Galaxy S II  into DOWNLOAD MODE.

Make a factory reset first, this will wipe all your data, just ensure that you already have a back copy of all your important files.

• Put your device in Recovery MODE (Home + Volume up + Power)
• Select Wipe Data/Factory reset
• Select Wipe Cache
• Turn the phone power OFF again, then press and hold VolumeDown+OK+Power at the same time.
• Then connect the Phone to PC, the ID:COM box will turn to yellow color if the device is already detected and properly connected. Try to use another USB port, USB cable and or PC if experiencing a connection issues.

5. Hit the “START” Button to begin flashing the firmware.
The phone will be flashed and once it’s finished, it will boot up.Do NOT disconnect the usb-cable, remove the battery or otherwise interrupt this process! The process will take just about 5-minutes to complete.
But if you do not see a blue progress bar on your phone after 5 minute, take out your phones battery, unplug your phone and start from step 1 again.

6. Once you see the message “PASS!”, you have successfully flashed your phone.
The phone will reboot when flash or download completed.

7. You may then confirm the newly installed firmware version

You may also need to root back your phone if you have it rooted, for it already returned to original stock firmware. That’s it!

This is for advance users only, typical users may only upgrade on Kies.
Grab the ODIN Multi Downloader v4.38 and OPS File: Cooper_v1.0.ops

Samsung Galaxy Ace Odin flashing Android 2.3.6  S5830XXKPP

- Make sure you are running Windows on your PC with USB driver installed or have Kies installed.
A USB cable wire of your device, a good working USB serial port, sometimes the connection issues occurs because of a bad USB port of your PC and the USB cable.
- Make a back up copy of all important files stored on your phone, the file is a none wipe but it is better to have an extra precautions if something went wrong.
- Disable any antivirus and Kies installed, this program might also interrupt Odin while in flashing process.

1. Once you’ve already downloaded the S5830XXKPP stock ROM, extract it using winrar, winzip, 7zip or any rar file extractor program you have. Then you in the folder you can see the file
S5830XWKTM_S5830OXXKT3_S5830XWKT7_HOME.tar.md5
and the other file which we don’t need this ‘SS_DL.dll’.
2. Extract and run also the Odin v4.38 on your desktop.
3. On ODIN clickt the OPS button and load the Cooper_v1.0.ops file on it.
4. Hit the One packaged in the checkboxes options (the Auto reboot and protect OPS remain checked,
then at the lower part of Odin click on the One Packaged button then select and load the

5. Reboot the Samsung Galaxy Ace in Download Mode:
Turn the OFF the phone or remove the battery for a couple of seconds then put it back again. By pressing Volume Down+Power+Home buttons simultaneously the phone will then reboot into download mode.

 6. If the device is already in download mode, connect the phone to PC, on ODIN window a COM Port mapping  turn to color yellow and indicates that the device is already ‘added’ -  means connected.
7. Once the connection set up is okay, begin the flashing by hitting the ‘Start’ button.

It only takes around 4 to 5 minutes to complete,  a progress bar on the left side of ODIN will show you the downloading progress. A word “PASS” will display once it finishes.
It’s time to unplug the phone from PC, then do a factory data reset to clean all data caches and have a fresh firmware installed,  you can do this by Recovery Mode button – Home + Power Button, then toggle on using the volume button and select Wipe Data/ Factory Reset or by typing this code *2767*3855#.
To check the newly installed firmware update – by typing *#1234#.
Change the default Russian language to your Region, go to settings and then locate the locale and text icon, then find your native language. You may then also often check out the Samsung Galaxy Ace stock ROM list for future firmware
